\nIn\u00a01988\u00a0the\u00a0carbon analysis\u00a0sanctioned that the\u00a0relic\u00a0was a\u00a0medieval\u00a0origin fake,\u00a0this\u00a0review\u00a0has\u00a0demonstrated\u00a0over time\u00a0its fallacies\u00a0leading\u00a0many\u00a0scientists,\u00a0historians and\u00a0engineers\u00a0to\u00a0certify\u00a0as the\u00a0Shroud\u00a0really\u00a0belong to the Palestine of the first-century AD.
\nAfter Byzantium\u2018s stealing,\u00a0and its\u00a0arrival\u00a0in\u00a0Athens\u00a0on 1204, the\u00a0Shroud disappears\u00a0for 150\u00a0years, then reappear\u00a0unexpectedly\u00a0in 1356,\u00a0at Lirey in France.\u00a0In\u00a0this period of time\u00a0known\u00a0as\u00a0the\u00a0“lost years of the Shroud”, there are questions\u00a0that\u00a0still\u00a0does not\u00a0seem\u00a0to have\u00a0found an\u00a0answer.
