Civiltà perduta sarebbe esistita 100.000 anni fa nel Golfo Persico
La ricerca di Jeffrey Rose, pubblicata sulla rivista Current Anthropology, ipotizza la presenza di una civiltà scomparsa, vissuta nell’attuale Golfo Persico tra i 75.000 e 100.000 anni fa, la cui esistenza (se provata) potrebbe far riscrivere parte della storia degli spostamenti umani.
In quel periodo, fino a circa 8.000 anni fa, il Golfo non sarebbe stato altro che una pianura alluvionale delle dimensioni della Gran Bretagna, prima di essere inghiottita dall’Oceano Indiano. E proprio in quel periodo, pare, sarebbe vissuta una civiltà relativamente evoluta che si sarebbe in seguito spostata verso nord.
